Singapore-born, Shanghai-based advertising photographer Yang Tan brings a global perspective to his craft. After graduating from New York City’s School of Visual Arts (Photography, BFA), Yang spent over a decade working in NYC’s fast-paced creative scene. Specializing in people-centric photography, Yang’s work spans lifestyle, portraits, sports, and fashion—always anchored in authenticity and the poetry of fleeting moments.

Yang’s style is intuitive and unhurried: think raw emotion, unposed spontaneity, and narratives that feel lived-in.

When not behind the lens, Yang is an avid cyclist, runner, and coffee lover. He regularly volunteers at animal adoption events, photographing pets to help them find homes. Fluent in English and Mandarin, Yang values cross-cultural connections and believe the most powerful photography is rooted in genuine human moments.
